Solid quality, easy process

I picked up one of their ready-to-sew kits, the 'Everyday Blouse' with some woven fabric. The ordering process on the site was straightforward enough, didn't have any glitches. It shipped out pretty quickly and arrived in about 5 business days. The fabric felt nice, definitely not cheap stuff. The pattern itself was a digital one, which I printed at home. Everything I needed was in the kit, down to the interfacing and matching thread. The instructions were decent, I didn't get stuck anywhere. Overall, a smooth experience and I ended up with a wearable top. Worth it if you want to skip fabric shopping and just get to sewing.

Monthly box is consistent

I've been getting the monthly garment sewing subscription for about six months now. The quality of the fabrics is always good, usually a nice poplin or a soft knit, and the patterns are interesting. This last box, the 'Cozy Cardigan Kit', came with a lovely brushed hacci knit. Delivery usually takes about 4-5 days to get to me in Oregon, which is pretty standard. I had a question once about a missing button, and customer support got back to me within a day and sent a replacement super fast. It's really convenient having everything bundled up. My only tiny thing is sometimes I wish there were more color choices for the fabric, but that's minor.

Good for beginners

I got the 'ready-to-sew kit' for the Simple Summer Top. The instructions were really clear, even for me who's pretty new to sewing. All the bits and bobs were there, which was nice not having to hunt for thread. It turned out pretty cute, totally wearable.

Totally worth it for beginners! The patterns are usually indie ones, which sometimes have better instructions than big commercial brands. Plus, all the fabric and notions are picked out, so you don't have to stress about matching things up.

I'd say yes! I started with them like 6 months into my sewing journey. The kits come with everything and the patterns aren't usually super complex. It's a good way to try new things without having to source every single item yourself.

Nah, it's usually a surprise based on the pattern they pick for the month. But they do a good job matching the fabric to the pattern style.

You don't get to specifically choose the fabric for the subscription box, no. That's part of the 'curated' thing, I think. Sometimes you can swap the whole kit though, so you might get a different fabric/pattern combo if you don't like the main one.

It's generally really good quality. They use proper apparel fabrics, not the cheap quilting cottons you sometimes see in other kits. I've been happy with all my knit and woven fabrics from them.

High quality stuff! I've gotten some really nice linen blends and soft knits. Definitely not the cheap stuff you find at big box stores. They do try to curate nice fabrics.
